long

fit

FACTS
YOU
NEED
TO
KNOW:
•
If
a
helmet
is
dropped
or
suffers
an
impact,
it
should
be
replaced
immediately.
The
impact
could
fracture
the
outer
shell
or
compress
the
impact-absorbing
liner.
The
damage
may
NOT
be
visible.
•
Helmets
should
be
replaced
every
3-5
years,
according
to
manufactures
and
the
SNELL
foundation.
Glues,
resins,
and
other
helmet
materials
break
down
over
time.
Other
factors
that
can
add
to
helmet
deterioration
are
hair
oils,
sweat,
cosmetics,
and
even
the
sun’s
UV
rays.
•
Check
that
your
helmet
still
fits
properly
by
placing
the
helmet
on
your
head
and
fastening
the
chin
strap.
The
helmet
should
NOT
be
able
to
roll
forward
off
your
head.
You
should
feel
the
skin
on
your
head
move
with
the
helmet.
