may
go
down
in
hisory
as
one
of
the
biggest
days
in
wakeboarding
ever
in
the
Lake
Anna/Washington,
DC
area.
The
day
started
off
early
with
the
Lake
Anna
Wakefest
beginning
at
8
AM.
Riding
conditions
at
the
far
end
of
Pigeon
Cover
were
perfect
that
morning
thanks
to
the
Coast
Guard
Auxilliary
slowing
boats
down
at
the
end
of
the
run.
The
tournament
was
pulled
by
a
Mastercraft
2010
X-2
for
the
less
experienced
riders.
The
divisions
throwing
down
inverts
were
treated
to
a
pull
behind
the
famous
X-Star
wake.
The
two
boats
alternated
pulling
riders
to
keep
the
tournament
moving
so
that
the
riders
and
spectators
could
head
up
to
the
National
Harbor
to
enjoy
the
show
put
on
by
Red
Bull
Pro
Riders,
Parks
Bonifay,
Adam
Errington,
JD
Webb,
and
Brian
Grubb,
that
afternoon.
The
outlaw
division
was
run
mid-tournament
so
that
riders
Gordon
Harrison,
Kyle
Barmoy
and
Taylor
Ewing
could
head
to
DC
to
hit
rails
in
front
of
the
crowd
with
the
pros.
The
show
by
the
Red
Bull
Pros
and
the
LKA
riders,
MC'ed
by
former
pro
rider
Jeff
Barton
didn't
disappoint
the
crowd
of
3000-4000
spectators.
After
the
event,
the
pros
and
the
LKA
riders
greeted
the
crowd
and
signed
autographs.
Red
Bull
hosted
an
after-event
party
that
night
complete
with
electronic
bull
riding.
