The
All
New
Polaris
Ranger
RZR
800 |
 |
|
2011
Polaris
800
Rush
Polaris
makes
the
base
Rush
stronger
and
quicker.
Let’s
not
kid
anyone,
we
like
what
Polaris
has
done
with
the
2011
Rush.
From
a
single
model
in
2010,
there’s
a
fleet
of
them
for
2011.
And
that’s
not
counting
the
“Rush-like”
crossover
and
mountain
models
with
the
Rush
front
end
and
extended
length
tunnels
and
tracks.
Still
there
is
only
one
true
Rush
with
the
outside
the
skid
frame
rear
shock.
We
had
a
bit
of
trouble
accepting
Polaris’
total
Rush
hyperbole
in
its
inaugural
season
as
a
sled
for
all
reasons.
Yeah,
yeah
it
was
good,
but
in
its
sole
mockup,
we
couldn’t
see
it
as
both
a
full-fledged
mogul
basher
AND
a
smooth
mile
maker.
In
reality,
apparently,
neither
could
Polaris.

The
Ranger
RZR
800
got
a
power
boost
in
2011
and
now
pumps
out
55
ponies.
It
also
gets
new
trail-friendly
rear
rack
extenders
that
offer
as
much
as
60
percent
more
cargo
capacity
in
the
bed.
Hunters
will
appreciate
the
new
Polaris
Pursuit
Camouflage
pattern.
We
loved
the
Ranger
RZR
S
800
when
we
first
saw
it
in
2009,
but
it
was
an
expensive
unit.
Polaris
wanted
to
bring
the
price
down
for
2011
so
the
costly
Fox
Podium

reservoir
shocks
were
ditched
in
exchange
for
some
beefy
new
Sachs
shocks
that
have
a
two-inch
bore
but
lack
much
of
the
adjustability.
You'll
still
be
able
to
get
the
Fox
shocks
on
limited
edition
RZR
S
models,
but
you’ll
have
to
pay
premium.
Also
new
on
the
RZR
S
are
ITP
900
XCT
tires.
The
new
tires
were
built
for
high-performance,
cross
country
trail
riding,
and
feature
a
knobby,
aggressive
tread
pattern
than
Polaris
claims
offers
even
more
impressive
cornering
ability
than
the
Maxxis
Bighorn
tires
that
adorned
the
2010
model.
With
all
the
changes
the

Jeremy
I
just
put
a
new
water
impeller
in
my
boat
2
years
ago.
It
is
not
pumping
water
again.
Is
this
common,
as
my
neighbor
says
he
hasn’t
changed
his
in
years.
John
S.
John,
It
is
common
that
they
do
last
much
longer
than
that,
however
Mercury
recommend
that
you
replace
your
water
pump
annually.
The
number
one
thing
that
causes
the
water
pump
going
out
early
is
running
it
out
of
the
water.
Make
sure
you
start
your
boat
motor
when
it
is
in
the
water
or
on
muffs
if
on
the
land.

Hi
folks,
It
has
been
a
while
since
we
have
posted
a
fishing
report,
very
busy
selling
season
for
us
here.
Fishing
has
slowed
a
bit
on
Houghton
Lake
in
the
last
3
weeks,
the
water
temp
got
to
86
degrees
and
shut
the
walleyes
down
a
bit.
We
have
been
getting
1-2
keeper
walleye
each
time
out
with
8-10
bonus
jumbo
bluegill
or
sunfish
in
the
9-10"
range.
We
have
went
to
a
plain
red
hook
with
a
leech
or
a
crawler,
seems
like
they
biting
a
little
lighter
right
now.
Higgins
Lake
is
giving
up
a
few
Lake
Trout,
guys
are
vertical
jigging
for
the
white
fish
and
getting
some
nice
eater
size
fish.
Got
a
nice
report
from
Lake
St.
Helen
last
week,
one
of
my
customers
is
getting
some
nice
gills
casting
a
small
spinner
with
a
crawler,
didn't
get
the
location
from
him.
Good
fishing!
