High Gas Price= More Motorcycles
If you think you are seeing more motorcycles on the road recently you are right! As gasoline prices have escalated, so have sales of motorcycles, as consumers opt for a more economic mode of transportation, and more fun too!

Motorcycles get 50.1mpg on average, while passenger cars get 22.3mpg and light trucks and SUV's get only 17.7mpg. A motorcycle with a 5 gallon tank can go 200-250 miles between fill-ups, which cost less than $15, while a luxury car or light truck/ SUV can cost $40-$50 to travel the same distance.

And while cooler weather typically signals the end of motorcycling in many regions of the country, the high cost of fuel has many motorcyclists considering longer riding seasons.

So, don't be a slave to higher gas prices and low mileage, come in and see us about a new or used motorcycle and start $aving today!! *The above content and various statistics were generated from an assortment of resources.

For Immediate Release

Lebanon PA - White’s Harley Davidson announces their new Flat Track Team for the 2006 season featuring the Washington State sensation, “Slammin” Sammy Halbert. Halbert, who is just 18 years old has earned his national number 43 on his maiden run with the team at the Daytona short track in March. Dubbed “the man of the hour” by SPEED TV, Sammy finished 2nd in Round One of the Grand National Championship for his first trip to a GNC podium. He also made the main of the Round Two double header the next evening and now sits tied for second in the GNC Lites points Championship going into the Round Three in Springfield on May 28th. Sammy’s number one goal is to achieve the Ricky Graham Rookie of the Year honors and the team is ready to support their new rider for all it is worth!

“The team has plenty of space on our new show hauler for sponsorship opportunities” said Joe White, President of White’s H-D / Buell with a smile. “We are excited to have Sammy on board and Mike Varnes heading up overall management of the team. I feel really good about the team’s progress so far with two mains in two attempts and know that the White’s H-D brand will be a force to be reckoned with this year.”

Varnes, a veteran pro rider himself stated, “Sammy and I clicked right off the bat in Savannah and then at Volusia where we starting testing both our singles and twins together. Once I saw how competitive we were there, I knew we were going to have something for them in Daytona.” The team is preparing their XR 750’s for the opening round of the twin’s series on the legendary Springfield mile scheduled for May 29th.

He has supported Mike Varnes since the early 90’s as a junior all the way through Mike’s pro career. Mike has left the racing side as a pro to manage the White’s H-D flat track team and to make sure the teams new young rider has the right stuff under him to get the job done on the track. The team will race the GNC singles and Twins series along with the Hot Shoe events nation wide.
