BMWOR
Spring
Open
House Make
Tracks
GS
Open
House April
has
designated
as
national
open
house
month
for
BMW
Motorrad
dealers
in
the
US.
And
this
year's
open
house
has
been
designated
as
the
year
to
celebrate
BMW's
Geland
Strasse
(GS)
family
of
motorcycles. For
more
than
two
decades,
BMW
has
been
manufacturing
some
of
the
best
bikes
for
tackling
both
asphalt
and
gravel/dirt
travelways.
2006
is
particularly
special
for
BMW
since
there
are
6
GS
models
to
choose
from
including
the
newly
introduced
R1200GS
Adventure,
which
will
be
available
for
your
viewing/touching
pleasure
at
BMWOR!
Count
them,
that's
6
GS
models:
F650GS,
F650GS
with
a
lowered
chasis,
F650GS
Dakar,
R1200GS,
R1200GS
Adventure,
and
the
HP2
Enduro,
which
is
6
more
than
some
manufacturers
and
a
couple
more
than
the
others!
This
means
that
BMW
can
provide
most
adventure
oriented
motorcycle
enthusiasts
with
a
GS
model
that
meets
their
budget
and/or
riding
needs.

have
a
full
day
of
activities
scheduled
for
the
open
house.
Those
activities
include,
but
are
not
limited
to:
Long
Way
Round
-
We
will
be
showing
the
Long
Way
Round
saga
from
start
to
finish
in
the
BMWOR
SD
Theatre.
The
first
episode
will
start
at
9:00am
and
we'll
wrap
up
the
ending
episode
around
4:00pm.
Hole
In
The
Wall
Barbecue
-
From
11:30am
to
1:30pm
or
until
we
run
out,
whichever
comes
first,
BMWOR
Service
Department
staff
members
will
be
serving
up
some
great
barbecue
to
our
customers.
Hourly
Door
Prizes
-
We
will
be
drawing
for
door
prizes
every
hour
on
the
half
hour,
starting
at
9:30am.
No
purchase
necessary.
Must
be
present
to
win!
Grand
Prizes
Drawing
-
At
the
end
of
the
day,
we'll
draw
a
number
of
names
for
some
bigger
prizes.
For
each
$100
spent
during
the
day,
you'll
be
given
a
ticket
for
eligibility
in
the
drawing
at
the
end
of
the
day.
Presence
during
the
drawing
is
not
a
requirement
for
winning.
Test
Rides
-
Unlike
last
year,
we
don't
have
a
rigid
test
ride
schedule.
Diane
will
be
coordinating
the
test
rides
on
Saturday,
so
fire
off
an
email
message
to
her
at
sales@bmwor.com
to
make
your
request.
Hearing
Protection
-
Whether
you're
interested
in
some
basic
customer
molded
earplugs
or
custom
molded
earplugs
with
speakers
in
them,
Liz
Washington
can
make
this
happen.
Liz
will
be
at
BMWOR
from
10:00am
to
2:00pm
on
Saturday
making
custom
ear
molds.
BMW
Riders
of
Oregon
(BMWRO)
-
BMWRO
will
be
present
at
the
open
house
to
answer
questions
about
the
club,
take
membership
renewals,
and
sign
up
new
members
from
10:00am
to
2:00pm.
Proper
Motorcycle
Insurance
Coverage
-
Getting
motorcycle
insurance
is
as
easy
as
picking
up
the
phone
or
logging
on
to
a
number
of
websites
and
building
a
policy
in
a
matter
of
minutes;
however,
you
may
not
be
getting
the
proper
coverage
for
you,
your
motorcycle,
your
accessories,
and
your
passenger.
When
it
comes
to
motorcycle
insurance,
few
individuals
know
and
understand
the
insurance
industry
as
well
as
Roger
Paquette.
On
Saturday
from
10:00am
to
2:00pm,
Roger
is
willing
to
conduct
motorcycle
policy
reviews
and
help
you
understand
how
you
are
and
how
you
are
not
being
properly
covered.
BMW
National
Sweepstakes
-
Many
of
you
are
already
aware
of
BMW's
national
sweepstakes,
in
which
they
will
be
giving
away
an
R1200GS,
Long
Way
Round
DVDs,
Long
Way
Round
books,
and
some
other
cool
stuff.
Registration
forms
can
be
downloaded
from
BMW's
national
website
or
you
can
come
by
the
dealership,
pick
one
up,
and
fill
it
out.
Either
way,
to
be
eligible
for
winning
you
must
get
the
registration
form
validated
by
a
BMW
Motorcycle
dealership
during
the
month
of
April.
Bring
your
registration
form
to
our
open
house
and
we'll
send
your
entry
to
BMW.
The
prize
drawings
will
occur
in
late
May.
Full
details
are
available
at
BMW's
national
website. |

DIRT
DON'T
HURT
DUALSPORT
RIDE As
a
follow-up
to
Saturday's
fun
at
the
dealership,
those
individuals
craving
some
dirty
riding
should
meet
at
the
Crow
High
School
parking
lot
(Crow
High
School
is
located
on
Crow
Road,
east
of
Territorial
Highway)
between
9:00am
and
9:15am
on
Sunday,
April
16th.
The
ride
consists
of
approximately
30
miles
of
asphalt
and
30
miles
of
gravel
in
the
Oregon
Coast
Range,
eventually
leading
to
the
Vincent
Creek
Campground.
The
group
will
depart
at
9:30am,
so
please
make
an
effort
to
be
prompt
as
the
route
markers
will
be
pulled
as
the
final
rider
in
the
group
passes
them.
If
you
choose
not
to
ride
with
the
group,
please
find
a
willing
riding
partner
or
two,
as
riding
alone
is
not
a
good
idea.
From
11:30am
to
1:30pm,
you'll
find
the
Russell
clan
cooking
and
serving
burgers
&
brats
to
the
participants
that
enjoyed
the
dualsport
ride
or
independently
made
their
way
to
the
campground
on
a
motorcycle.
DIRT
DON'T
HURT
participants
are
required
to
sign
a
liability
waiver
prior
to
leaving
the
Crow
High
School. |
