All NEW 2007 Harley-Davidson Motorcycles!
White's Harley is proud to announce the new 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle lineup!

The Twin Cam 96 V-Twin will power all models in the Harley-Davidson Dyna, Softail and Touring families, each of which will also feature the 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission. New models for 2007 include the all new FXSTC Softail Custom, a limited-edition model celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Sportster introduction, and two new VRSC models.

"The V-Twin engine has always been the centerpiece of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle," Joe White, owner of White's H-D. "It's integral not only to the performance of the motorcycle, but also to its styling, to its sound, and to the way it feels to the rider. The new Twin Cam 96 and 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission offer enhanced performance, while maintaining the traditional aesthetics of the Harley-Davidson Big Twin."

It is the timeless blend of form and function that shapes the character of every Harley-Davidson model. It's a philosophy that dictates that the machine should stir the soul not just through its physical performance, but also through its presence, an expression of the passion that has guided Harley-Davidson for more than a century.

Highlights include:
The new Twin Cam 96 engine, paired with the 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission, delivers up to 17 percent more torque (varies by model family) than the Twin Cam 88 it replaces along with design changes to enhance performance and reliability. It will only be offered with Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI). The 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission features quieter helical-cut gears in ratios optimized to match the torque curve of the Twin Cam 96. A sixth gear reduces engine rpm by 11 percent at highway speeds. New mufflers have been tuned to enhance the lower sound frequencies for a more commanding exhaust tone.

The VRSC family of liquid-cooled power -cruisers features two new models. the VRSCDX Night Rod Special offers menacing, blacked-out styling. The limited-edition VRSCX features the pavement-scorching power of a big-bore Revolution V-Twin engine with drag-bike styling and graphics that pay tribute to the NHRA champion Screamin' Eagle/ Vance & Hines Pro Stock Motorcycle racing team.

The new FXSTC Softail Custom reprises the styling cues of the classic chopper, with a 200mm rear tire, king-and-queen seat, and Bobtail rear fender.

The limited-edition 50th Anniversary Sportster features special badging, a traditional peanut fuel tank, and other classic components to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1957 Sportster introduction.

The FLSTF Fat Boy is refreshed and reloaded for 2007, with new wheels and styling details, a new 200mm rear tire, and the performance of the Twin Cam 96B engine and 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission.

The FXDC Dyna Super Glide Custom is redesigned to enhance its aesthetic appeal with additional chrome and custom features, including a new two-up, ribbed seat, Fat Bob fuel tank and a mini-pullback handlebar.

Harley-Davidson Custom Vehicle Operations (CVO) will offer four exciting models for 2007: the Screamin' Eagle Road King, the Screamin' Eagle Ultra Classic Electra Glide, the Screamin' Eagle Softail Springer, and the Screamin' Eagle Dyna. Each is powered by a new high-performance Twin Cam 110 powertrain and features new accessories and fabulous new paint schemes.

The new Harley-Davidson Smart Security System, featuring new hands-free fob and auto arming/ disarming, is an available factory-installed option for all Harley-Davidson models.

Harley-Davidson will offer 17new color combinations for 2007.

Sammy Halbert- White's Flat Track Racer #43
For Immediate Release

Lebanon PA - White’s Harley Davidson announces their new Flat Track Team for the 2006 season featuring the Washington State sensation, “Slammin” Sammy Halbert. Halbert, who is just 18 years old has earned his national number 43 on his maiden run with the team at the Daytona short track in March. Dubbed “the man of the hour” by SPEED TV, Sammy finished 2nd in Round One of the Grand National Championship for his first trip to a GNC podium. He also made the main of the Round Two double header the next evening and now sits tied for second in the GNC Lites points Championship going into the Round Three in Springfield on May 28th. Sammy’s number one goal is to achieve the Ricky Graham Rookie of the Year honors and the team is ready to support their new rider for all it is worth!

“The team has plenty of space on our new show hauler for sponsorship opportunities” said Joe White, President of White’s H-D / Buell with a smile. “We are excited to have Sammy on board and Mike Varnes heading up overall management of the team. I feel really good about the team’s progress so far with two mains in two attempts and know that the White’s H-D brand will be a force to be reckoned with this year.”

Varnes, a veteran pro rider himself stated, “Sammy and I clicked right off the bat in Savannah and then at Volusia where we starting testing both our singles and twins together. Once I saw how competitive we were there, I knew we were going to have something for them in Daytona.” The team is preparing their XR 750’s for the opening round of the twin’s series on the legendary Springfield mile scheduled for May 29th.

About White’s Harley-Davidson

Mike has left the racing side as a pro to manage the White’s H-D flat track team and to make sure the teams new young rider has the right stuff under him to get the job done on the track. The team will race the GNC singles and Twins series along with the Hot Shoe events nation wide.

An update from Sammy!
White's Harley-Davidson's "Slammin" Sammy Halbert speaks out!

Hi, my name is Sammy Halbert and I wanted to start to communicate to the fans out there about what's up with me and my new team for 2006. I intend to provide race reports and inside accounts of my life as a Grand National Dirt Track racer as I challenge for the Rookie of the year title in 2006. No, you have not read anything written from me before, but that's only because I have been extremely focused on working to get used to my new team members at White's H-D, the new equipment, and life on the east coast where I have been spending alot of time in PA where the team is headquartered.

Now that I'm ready to commit to writing on a regular basis, I want to make sure what I write about is interesting to the fans. I also want to make sure that my current and future sponsors see value in the stories and help them get a better feeling about what it takes to be on the Grand National Tour as a young rookie. I hope to make things entertaining, fun to read and maybe provide a laugh or two. So I'm going to kick off with a re-cap of the last six to eight weeks of my life, the most hectic weeks of my short but positive 2006 efforts. Let me begin; I want to first say I have a lot of catching up to do since we have had six GNC Twins rounds to contend, a hot shoe, and a couple of GNC Lites races in between. A challenging schedule to say the least. And, it wouldn't be fair to everyone if I went through each one and provide a blow by blow of what happened. But I am going to go over some of the highlights that I feel you would enjoy and which stick out in my memory.

One of the things so far is that I have made a total of six (6) main events as a first year rookie; two in the GNC Lites division and four in the GNC Twins series. I have placed top five (a goal of mine this year) in the Lite Series and while I have struggled with my team to come to grips with our 750 program, I have still managed to make four main events and one top six finish there. I am confident with my new RMZ 450 sponsored by Bromley Suzuki; I will have the latest and greatest handling DTX bike around to challenge for that series. The RMZ 450 handles awesome! Thanks Joe and all the folks at Bromley's. However, I am finding it's not eash to learn the ropes of racing a 750 especially on the tracks that are new to me. You need to be able to find a good setup early with practice now being qualifying. The positive side of this is that we are gaining valuable information for next year so I can be fast the first time I take to the track. This is just part of what it's going to take to make this good team into a great one.

We have been making lots of progress over the last couple of weeks, and for the most part we have had a lot of good racing luck. Except, for two races that come to mind. One race, a hot shoe national in Frederick, MD I was doing some racing to get additional seat time on the bikes. While I won both my heat races it was in the 450 main that I clipped a fence while chasing down the leader. I went down hard. While I resisted the ambulance crews, they decided to board me and air lift me out. I was released later that night with a sprained neck among other injuries. I would try my best to not let these injuries slow me down as I made the main event the following weekend, although it wasn't easy.

The next bad news memory I have was my most recent ride in Greenville Ohio. Man, it really is the little things that can shut your program down. At Greenville I felt confident taht I could run upfront after qualifying third, but in my heat race I could not shift the bike so I would have to switch bikes for the semi and start on the third row where I gave it my al to catch the leaders but they gained to much of an advantage off the start for me to make up. When we got back to the shop and tore the engine tranny down we found some $4 dollar part was broken. It was cool it wasn't some big $$ deal, but to have it be something that small just make you realize how important it is to do whatever it takes to keep the bike in tip top shape.

Fortunately, I have had great support from my Team manager Mike Varnes and the rest of our crew. It really makes a difference when you have a crew chief that was a rider, an owner that was a rider and a team that believes so much in it's rider. We are preparing to make an assault on Hagerstown since it is in the back yard of White's H-D. Many friends of the shop will be there to cheer us on and I rally want to kick some butt for the team's home crowd. Nothing would be sweeter to make it on to the box and there is no reason we shouldn't be able to perform. I'm going to concentrate the next few days on getting mentally and physically prepared to do battle. I'll be ready on Saturday to put on my helmet, and go to work. I hope all you fans that get a chance to read this find a way to come to the race. And if you do, make sure you stop on by our rig and tent to say hello. I want to thank all my sponsors for their support; the team could not do it without your help. Till Saturday night, see ya.
