COMING TO FAY MYERS PARTS DEPARTMENT
3D video is gaining steam once again and could quite possibly be the future of video entertainment. The only bad thing is that the professional 3D cameras are ridiculously expensive. You might ask, well how can I shoot 3D footage on a budget? Don’t worry, GoPro has the answer. They recently stepped up to the plate by unveiling their twin GoPro 3D enclosure at a recent NAB show in Las Vegas. The new 3D setup is simply two GoPro Hero cameras mounted in a special twin enclosure holding the cameras side by side for a three dimensional look. In case you didn’t already know these little cameras are capable of shooting 1080p video and are shock and waterproof.Want to make a video in 3D just like the movies? Well now you can. All you need is two GoPro HD Hero Helmet Cameras. Mount them side to side on your helmet or any location that you need either using the new GoPro twin 3D enclosure or a mount of your own. So lets see that is two Hero HD cameras at $300 each plus the cost of the 3D enclosure. It looks like you can have a full HD 3D camera setup that is shock proof and waterproof for around $700. That is unheard of!Once you get the setup there is one issue you might have and that is syncing the two cameras together for editing purposes. There is no way to turn both cameras on at the exact same time. Lucky for you we have a FREE solution. Once the cameras are turned on and are filming, you can gently tap the outside of the camera cases at the same time. This creates a spike in the audio track that you can later use to line up the two video tracks.Once you have gone out there and shot some awesome footage, then all you need is a 3D editing software like Neo3D from Cineform. There are many different types of 3D editing software out there, so do your research and buy smart. Trial versions are a great route to take so you can try before you buy.GoPro is on the forefront of wearable 3D HD point of view camera technology. Here is a good edited 3D Freestyle Ski video using two of their Hero High Definition cameras. Click on the video, grab your 3D glasses, and enjoy. What are you waiting for? Get the GoPro!

Valentino Rossi 2009 "AGV Chicken Helmet"
After Valentino clinched his 9th World Title at the Malaysian GP in 2009, he donned on this creative Chicken helmet depicting an egg being laid with the numeral 9 on it. “The Italians say that an old chicken makes good soup but it’s no good for laying eggs. I am 30 now, but this old hen has made another egg today and we now have nine” said Rossi after holding on to third position and securing his 9th World Title. Valentino has personally signed this official AGV helmet which is a replica of the chicken helmet he wore during his celebration lap after clinching the 2009 MotoGP World Championship. Continuing on in his tradition, Valentino also wore this helmet throughout winter testing before the 2010 MotoGP season. Another one of his creative designs and significant helmets which is now part of his 9th World Title history. "AGV Chicken Helmet" was personally signed by Valentino Rossi on the 16th of October 2010 in Phillip Island, Australia and is strictly limited to only 46 worldwide.

KURT'S CORNER
In this market, two companies stand out for their performance in terms of 2010 sales and resultant increases in market share; Ducati and BMW. Both companies achieved these results partly through continuing upgrades to existing models, but mostly by introducing new models in categories in which neither had previously had a successful offering. Ironically, each company's new model increased market share by competing in a category that is traditionally the others bread and butter; for BMW a litre class, full-on sportbike (the S1000RR) and for Ducati, an adventure tourer (the Multistrada 1200). Although Ducati did produce a previous version of the Multistrada, the combination of unconventional styling and a serious lack of promotion by Ducati doomed the bike to paltry sales. The new Multistrada, by contrast, has been a roaring success.

On the heels of this success, Ducati is introducing another new model, the Diavel. As with the Multistrada 1200, the Diavel uses the 11 degree Testastretta motor. The 11 signifies the amount of valve overlap, down from 41 degrees in the 1198. The reduced overlap and a lower compression ratio produce a far more tractable motor, capable of pulling from much lower rpm without the shudder characteristic of highly tuned big v-twins under load at low rpm.... click here to read more from Kurt's Corner.
