Did
you
remember
to
summarize
your
snowmobile?
Putting
your
sled
into
storage
properly
is
one
of
the
most
important
things
you
can
do
to
help
ensure
a
trouble
free
ride
next
season.
Surprisingly
the
#1
problem
we
see
in
our
service
department
is
related
to
improper
or
lack
of
summarizing.
Here
are
some
basic
steps
in
doing
this.
Keep
in
mind
you
should
always
check
with
us
for
the
most
complete
information.
*Drain
gas
tank
down
to
one
or
two
gallons
of
gas
*
Add
fuel
stabilizer
per
instructions
on
the
bottle
*
Check
chain
case
oil
and
change
if
needed
*
Check
coolant
if
applicable
*
Grease
suspension
*
Start
and
run
engine
for
about
five
minutes,
then
spray
fogging
oil
per
instructions
on
can.
When
done
shut
off
engine
*
Drain
carb
float
bowls
if
applicable
*
Disconnect
battery
and
charge
battery
once
a
month
*
Take
off
drive
belt
if
you
want
*
After
engine
is
cold,
silicone
spray
metal
and
aluminum
parts
(not
clutches
and
brake
parts)
*
Remove
spark
plugs
and
spray
extra
fogging
oil
in
cylinders
(do
not
start
engine)
If
you
have
a
four
stroke
sled.
The
process
is
similar
except:
*
Change
oil
and
filter
(this
is
recommended
at
the
end
of
every
season)
Additionally
if
you
have
a
Yamaha
4-stroke:
*
Fog
engine
for
30
seconds,
so
smoke
comes
out
of
the
muffler
(lubricates
valve
stems
and
exhaust
system)
For
Ski-Doo
E-Tec
models
*
Read
owner's
manual
for
exact
procedure
These
are
some
basic
tips.
Always
store
your
sled
in
a
clean
condition
and
in
a
well
ventilated
area.
This
should
maximize
your
trouble
free
snowmobile
experience.
