    2005 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® XL 1200 Custom
$10,295.00, 4,381 miles, The Sportster® family is as rich in heritage as it is in torque. Take a glance at the 1200 Custom. The appeal is instant. Then take it for a run down the boulevard and good gets even better. We did this one up by first taking it down. It sits lower, thanks to a new seat and frame. The slotted chrome disc rear wheel wears a wide tire, nicely balancing out the swept-back handlebar and pullback riser. Power is big and immediate, with the rubber-mounted, chrome-covered Evolution® engine. The high-compression, high-flow heads and performance cams get you going. The 4.5-gallon tank keeps you going longer. Just like the custom theme. Forward foot controls. Bullet headlight. And a brand-new optional Profile Laced wheel, shown here. In fact, there’s so much custom here, you’ll want a friend along to share.

    2006 Harley-Davidson® XL 883C Sportster®
$7,900.00, 2,679 miles, For decades, fun could best be defined as a potent engine sitting dead center in a strong, agile frame with nothing but miles of winding asphalt ahead. As long as we keep building and refining the Sportster®, that definition will stay true. If you’ve never swung a leg over, you should. Once astride, twist the throttle and feel the V-Twin generate mounds of torque. It’s a satisfying rush that hits you right in the pit of your stomach. We rubber-mounted the engine to the frame for a more comfortable ride — no road is unfamiliar territory, no journey too far. And though riding a Sportster has always been a blast, we keep finding more ways to make things even more rider friendly. We redesigned the transmission so it shifts smoother. Take a quick trip through the gears and you’ll no doubt appreciate the near-effortless clutch. There’s also improved kickstand ergonomics — now the bike is easier to reach and lift. The pure American street machine just keeps getting better.

The only thing better than a street-eater is a custom street-eater, like the Sportster® 883 Custom you see here. We begin by giving it the smooth-operating, rubber-mounted Evolution® engine and 4.5-gallon tank. Then we go to work from there. We raise the handlebar, lower the suspension, and give it easy-to-reach forward foot controls. It all makes the riding position feel right. The custom look wouldn’t be complete without a 150 mm rear tire. Chrome Profile Laced wheel options available for both front and rear. And for the finishing touch, we even gave this ride a sleek two-up seat. Because the only thing better than eating up miles of endless asphalt is sharing the experience.

For a limited time, we are offering one-of-a kind, custom color combinations that are over and above the standard two-tone color options available during the model year. These limited color combinations come with a custom decal that is only available through the Custom Color program. Each color has unique complementing pinstripes.

IT'S JULY, CAN ANYONE SAY TATTOO AND BURNOUT? WE CAN'T WAIT EITHER, THIS YEAR IS GOING TO BE HUGE; INK, RUBBER AND ROCK -N- ROLL... ALWAYS A GOOD COMBO, AND NOW THERE'S EMPLOYEE PRICING ON TOP OF THAT. COME IN BEFORE THE 31ST AND EXPERIENCE THE BEST PRICES YOU'VE EVER SEEN! DID YOU KNOW ABOUT THIS?

We will be closed July 4th in honor of Independence Day

Hello fellow enthusiast, What a great year we have had so far. I have actually found the time to put about 6,000 miles on my RoadGlide. We are staying very busy, in the service department, keeping our valued customers on the road. We are making progress with our new facilities. We have a huge warehouse we will be outfitting to relieve the crowding in our service area. It will be great to have some breathing room in our shop! We have already moved some tools and equipment into the warehouse, and we are purchasing a forklift this week. Our service department also would like to welcome back on staff, Dan Schmidt. Dan is a top technician who worked here as a master technician when Republic opened in 2001. We are glad to have him back, so stop in and tell Dan hello. We have added another face to our excellent team of service advisors, Mike Dooley. Mike comes to us from Mesquite, Texas and is MMI trained and certified as a technician. Also in the porter support staff we have added Ashley Thrasher and back again for the second summer is Ruben Garza Jr. They both do a great job making sure your scoot is cleaned and ready to ride when you pick it up. We have a dedicated staff, with the best training of any dealership in the country. It is time again to schedule our techs in fall training classes. We are currently at seven master techs out of our twelve, and two of those are masters of technology. We will have at least two more masters after this fall's training.

July is also time for the summer dealer show. It will be held in San Diego again this year and we are all looking forward to what Harley-Davidson will have new for the 2007 model year. Drop by and see me after July 16th and I will be glad to fill you in on all the new goodies. Also don’t forget to check out our website for the latest calendar of events as well as coupons and photos of some great Harley-Davidsons.

    See ya on the road,
    Donnie "Guru" Malone

Our All Ladies class scheduled for July 13th – 16th is full and Charlene and Tonya are looking forward to helping all of the ladies achieve their goal of becoming riders. For those of you who did not get into this class but are wanting to take the all ladies class, our next one is scheduled for October 19th – 22nd .

    Thinkin' about Burnin' Out?

I cannot believe the great weather we have been having. With the exception of a few showers, the weather has been great for riding. Now if it would only stay this way…
Our department is fully stocked with parts and accessories to outfit your motorcycle or get it going if the road gremlins got a hold of you. We are also stocking up on tires for our annual Tattoo and Burnout event at the end of July. So if you plan to honor us with a screaming session in the burnout we could get you back on the road in no time at all. Also remember the Lone Star Rally is just around the corner so if you wanna get your hog shining, now would be the time to get the ball rolling. Come and see one of our helpful staff members for any accessory and/or performance work. They are Harley-Davidson riders too and they know what works.
Till next month have fun and keep ridin'.

    2006 Harley-Davidson® VRXSE Screamin' Eagle® V-Rod® Destroyer™

Maybe you got fired up when Andrew Hines' V-Rod® set the NHRA Pro-Stock Motorcycle record with a 6.991 (ET) quarter mile. Maybe you like the smell of blue smoke and testing your reflexes as the Christmas tree lights go green. Whatever it is that motivates you to the drag strip, we've got just the machine for you.

The VRXSE Screamin' Eagle® Destroyer™ is H-D's first out-of-the-box, drag racing motorcycle. Based on the VRSC™ family and tuned by Custom Vehicle Operations, this bike can do a quarter mile run in under 10 seconds.

    2006 Harley-Davidson® VRSCD™ Night Rod™

What it has always been is a sleek, fast machine with a big hunger for straightaway acceleration. The reason is easy to see. It’s right there at the center. A liquid-cooled, fuel-injected 60° V-Twin Revolution® powertrain. Dual overhead cams. Four-valve heads. Two aggressive-breathing velocity stacks housed in a massive air box. Wind the engine up to the redline and make short work of the next quarter mile and beyond. The rigid, hydro-formed frame puts all that power to thrilling use. We wanted stopping to be equally exhilarating as going. All VRSC bikes are now fitted with performance 4-piston caliper Brembo® brakes. With all these goodies to play with, we took the most award-winning Harley-Davidson® motorcycle down some new roads. No matter how you like to ride, with the additions of the Night Rod™ and Street Rod™ models, now there’s a VRSC bike that fits your style. But that’s not all that’s new for 2006. There’s also a 240mm rear tire kit available in late 2005 through Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories. Scorching asphalt has never been so much fun.

If you like lean, low and raw, there’s plenty here. This new hot rod-inspired motorcycle is built around the big power of the Revolution® engine. Mid-mount controls. Straight-shot mufflers. Low-rise bars. What better way to put 120 horses through the paces. New seat. Highway pegs. Long hauls feel more like quick jaunts. Check out the Black Denim paint option. Color-matched speed screen visor. Blacked-out engine. Or the beautiful black and chrome engine covers option you see here. Brembo® brakes. New Slotted Aluminum Disc wheels or a Black Staggered 10-Spoke wheel option. A 180mm rear tire grounds the look. It’d be a sin to leave this much rubber standing still.

Downward and to the back, there are frame-mounted highway pegs, mid-mounted foot controls and a fat 150mm rear tire. Of course there’s the lowered suspension and low-slung seat. 2005 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® XL 883L

$6,695.00, 5,000 miles, The name is 883 Low. But that by no means marks its place on the fun scale. This new lower Sportster® model grabs attention and hugs the curves just like the rest of its XL family. We lowered the front and rear suspensions and gave it a sleek low solo seat to make it the easiest Sportster out there to throw a leg over. Getting the 883L off the kickstand is as easy as the low custom look is on the eyes. That custom look begins with a fresh graphic treatment. No other 883 has it. Then we pulled back the polished handlebar and stretched it wider for a riding position unlike any other. Power comes from the recently redesigned Evolution® engine, rubber-mounted so your backside isn’t just lower, it’s more comfortable, too. When you’re out on the road, riding low, it’s hard to imagine how anything could be higher up on the fun scale. Then grab hold of some Genuine Motor Parts and Accessories and you’ll find one thing is certain. The 883L is never low on potential.
    2004 Harley-Davidson® Sportster® XL 1200 Custom

$9,599.00, 9,176 miles, Over the years, the motorcycles of the Sportster® family have become legendary. This one is for those wanting more of that legend. The all-new 1200 Custom. It's a unique blend of raw power and XL style, taken full-bore. You'll immediately notice the tank. It's a bigger, low-profile 4.5-gallon design that boosts the custom look and holds more juice so you stop less. Notice the bigger fuel cap, as well as the side profile that pays homage to classic Sportster tanks. The bike is lower, thanks to a new seat and frame. We widened the rear tire. There's a new swept-back handlebar and riser that looks and feels sweet. Then we went big with power, with a redesigned Evolution® engine. We gave it performance cams and high-compression, high-flow cylinder heads. The result is sizable gains in torque and horsepower. So much, we had to push the redline up to 6000 RPM. We encourage you to make good use of that new real estate.

    2002 Harley-Davidson® XLH Sportster® 883

$5,995.00, 18,886 miles, Raw-boned styling housed in a narrow, nimble frame.

Carrying on a tradition started in 1957, the Sportster family continues its evolution, providing quick, responsive handling, a flat torque curve and raw, racy style.

This year, all Sportster models receive the popular bullet-style turn signals first introduced in 2000 on the FXSTD. In addition, a more rigid exhaust flange connects the exhaust system to the cylinder heads, providing improved styling and a more durable exhaust system. Finally, a new fuel shut off valve provides a more tactile feel between the on and off setting, and enhanced styling.

The Sportster 883, 883 Hugger® and Sportster 1200 continue to bring new riders into the sport, and introducing them to the world of Harley-Davidson by combining fun and value. The XL Sportster 883 Custom returns with forward foot controls, custom handlebar risers and a sporty two-up seat.

    2003 Harley-Davidson® XL 1200C Sportster® 1200 Custom

    $8,995.00, 1,966 miles, 100th Anniversary XL 1200C Sportster® 1200 Custom

Take a look at this Anniversary Sportster® 1200 Custom, and it's clear this is how 100 years ought to be celebrated. After all, the two-tone finish alone will make anybody want to paint the town Sterling Silver and Vivid Black. But we went further with the Anniversary model you see here, and added a two-piece tank emblem with gold cloisonné. Anniversary seat logo. 100-year engine covers. Nameplate. Seems we just couldn't stop, which is appropriate for a bike that carries this much style. Like a 21” laced front wheel and chrome slotted rear disc. Custom handlebar riser. Forward foot controls. Drag bar. And a powerful 1200cc Evolution® engine. Just to add kick to the celebration.
