Harvest
Tips
We
are
now
well
underway
with
this
year’s
harvest
and
we
would
like
to
pass
on
a
few
more
tips
to
help
you
along
the
way.
Concave
Zeroing
and
Calibrating
-
It
is
very
important
to
remember
that
if
the
concave
has
not
zeroed
and
calibrated
properly
you
will
not
be
able
to
thrash
out
white
caps
in
tough
wheat
conditions.
Proper
calibration
and
zeroing
procedures
will
be
found
in
section
80
of
the
operators
manual.
Feed
Accelerator
-
The
feed
accelerator
should
be
in
high
speed
and
should
remain
there
until
the
straw
has
dried
out
and
becomes
brittle.
The
feed
accelerator
should
always
stay
in
low
speed
for
brittle
crops,
(peas
and
bean).
Feeder
House
-
The
feeder
houses
can
be
equipped
with
a
26/32
tooth
sprocket
combination
to
allow
you
to
control
feeder
house
chain
speed
and
optimize
your
harvest.
About
this
time
of
year
you
should
also
be
checking
the
feeder
house
chain,
to
make
sure
that
it
is
properly
tensioned,
and
that
the
chain
has
not
jumped
the
sprocket.
