of
the
things
we’re
most

about
is
the

on

Snowmobile
Maintenance
Tips
for
Holiday
Riding! |
| |
|
|
My
wife
asked
me
last
night
"Honey
what
would
you
like
for
Christmas?".
My
response,
"SNOW!"
I
mean
come
on,
it's
almost
winter,
if
I
wanted
tropical
weather
I'd
go
to
Hawaii.
Us
Canadians
need
to
get
our
sled
on.
Well
I
guess
while
we
are
praying
to
the
snow
gods,
it
wouldn't
hurt
to
do
a
little
preventative
maintenance.
For
those
of
you
with
the
luxury
of
electric
start,
you
should
make
sure
that
your
battery
has
a
good
solid
charge
on
it.
And
no
that
does
not
mean
hook
it
up
to
your
car
with
booster
cables
and
put
the
pedal
to
the
floor.
The
best
thing
is
to
bring
it
back
slowly,
a
trickle
charger
works
best
in
this
situation.
A
lot
of
chargers
nowadays
are
pretty
advanced
and
have
an
automatic
shut
off
feature
so
you
don't
have
to
sit
by
it
anymore
to
make
sure
it
doesn't
boil
over.
BONUS,
more
time
to
polish
up
the
sled.
Before
riding
30
miles
up
the
trail
searching
for
that
perfect
hill
to
climb
something
to
look
for
is
excessive
wear
on
your
belt.
If
you
notice
that
a
cord
is
starting
to
pull
or
you've
noticed
a
couple
of
glazed
spots,
you
should
probably
get
that
swapped
out.
What
can
cause
this
is
dirt
and
grime
building
up
in
the
clutches,
so
let
one
of
our
expert
technicians
clean
those
clutches
for
you
so
you're
not
spending
a
small
fortune
on
belts.
Another
thing
you
will
want
to
look
at
before
hammering
on
the
throttle
is
your
track
tension
and
alignment.
A
sloppy
track
will
prohibit
maximum
performance,
and
we
all
know
we
want
to
get
the
most
out
of
our
machines.
As
there
are
so
many
different
types
of
machines,
there
are
also
many
different
specifications.
Consult
your
owners
manual
for
your
sled's
adjustment
specs.
Chaincase
oil
seems
to
be
the
number
one
neglected
thing
this
year.
Take
a
look
at
yours,
you
may
have
had
it
done
last
year
and
hardly
put
any
miles
on,
but
if
it
looks
like
sludge,
it's
time
to
change
it.
Storage
conditions
can
have
an
effect
on
the
breakdown
of
your
chaincase
oil,
and
believe
me
when
I
say
you
will
want
to
keep
those
gears
and
chain
well
lubricated.
It's
such
a
simple
thing
to
do
and
it
can
save
a
lot
of
money.
Second
on
the
list
for
being
neglected
this
year
is
carbides.
It's
pretty
easy
to
forget
about
these,
being
UNDER
the
skis
and
all
but
can
be
very
costly
if
left
unnoticed
for
too
long.
We
are
seeing
a
lot
of
sleds
come
in
where
people
have
worn
the
carbides
completely
off
and
have
started
to
wear
through
their
actual
skis.
Grab
a
buddy,
tip
the
sled
over
and
take
a
gander
at
them,
what's
a
few
seconds
to
save
a
few
hundred
dollars?
If
you
aren't
comfortable
doing
these
things
on
your
own,
or
frankly
just
don't
have
the
time,
bring
your
sled
to
Martin
Motor
Sports
and
we
will
happily
do
it
for
you.
Well
that's
enough
for
now,
time
to
get
back
to
praying
for
that
white
fluffy
stuff.
