conducting
a
Safety
Recall
to
inspect,
and
if
necessary,
replace
the
combined
braking
system’s
secondary
master
cylinder
on
affected
GL1800/A
motorcycles.
American
Honda
is
sending
a
letter
to
owners
of
all
potentially
affected
2001-2012
Honda
GL1800/A
(Goldwing)
motorcycles
informing
them
that
their
motorcycle
is
being
recalled
for
a
safety-related
defect.
This
letter
will
advise
you
to
bring
your
Goldwing
to
First
Coast
Honda,
in
St
Augustine
to
have
the
Safety
Inspection
performed.
First
Coast
Honda
is

What
do
you,
as
a
Honda
Goldwing
customer,
need
to
do?
1.Call
First
Coast
Honda
to
schedule
your
Safety
Inspection
Appointment.
(Appointment
is
not
required,
but
is
preferred,
to
ensure
prompt
inspection.)
2.Arrive
at
First
Coast
Honda
10
minutes
prior
to
your
scheduled
appointment
to
ensure
prompt
service.
3.The
Recall
Safety
Inspection
will
take
the
technician
approximately
30
minutes.
Once
the
inspection
is
complete,
the
Service
Writer
will
inform
you
if
your
Goldwing
needs
the
additional
repair
or
if
your
Goldwing
passed
the
inspection.
Not
all
Goldwings
will
need
additional
repair.
If
the
inspection
reveals
that
your
Goldwing
needs
further
repair
a
2nd
Service
appointment
will
be
required.
Due
to
the
nature
of
the
recall,
replacement
parts
cannot
be
sent
to
First
Coast
Honda
until
the
inspection
has
been
completed
and
the
need
for
additional
repair
is
verified.
4.The
Safety
Recall
Inspection
and/or
the
repairs
are
free*
to
all
Honda
Goldwing
owners
affected
by
the
recall.
*If
aftermarket
accessories
are
installed
and/or
the
Goldwing
has
been
converted
to
a
trike
additional
charges
may
be
added
if
they
interfere
with
the
Safety
Recall
Inspection
and/or
Repair
procedure.
The
Service
Department
Hours
are
Monday
–
Saturday
from
9:00am
to
5:00pm,
closed
on
Sunday.
