SAFETY TIPS FOR AN ENJOYABLE RIDE
As promised, our biweekly safety tip! A little reminder of how to make every ride a great one.
#2 - DRESS FOR THE CRASH, NOT THE POOL OR THE PROM! Sure, Joaquin's Fish Tacos is a 5-minute trip, but nobody plans to eat pavement. Modern mesh gear means 100-degree heat is no excuse for a t-shirt and cut-off shorts.

TECH TIPS
HOW TO STRAP YOUR BIKE PROPERLY FOR HAULING
As the weather starts to get cold in Colorado, you may find that your loading up your bike and hauling it to warmer riding destinations. Properly strapping your bike to the trailer is important, so here are some guidelines to ensure that your bike arrives safely. First and foremost, use a good quality strap. Your bike is a considerable investment - it doesn't make much sense to use the "cheapies". Make sure you get the tie-downs with the soft strap built right in so you can put them around the handle bars without worrying about the hook leaving scratches. Using a wheel chock for the front wheel is also important. This way the front wheel doesn't turn, causing the straps to loosen and the bike to tip over. It's always a good idea to use two straps for the front to pull the bike forward into the wheel chock. Two straps in the back will keep the back end from bouncing side-to-side. Always tie up the loose ends of the straps so they don't wreak havoc on your chrome and paint. Finally, check you straps within the first 50 miles of your trip to make sure they are performing as you expected. If you are uncertain about strapping or hauling your bike - we are here to help. Give us a call or stop by if you have any question!
