Fall
Color
Tour
Hello
all.
It’s
time
to
look
ahead
and
see
what’s
in
store
for
Fall,
my
favorite
riding
season.
Go
on
and
shake
your
head,
but
personally,
I’m
done
sweating
the
humid
summer,
and
am
ready
for
the
finest
of
leather
weather.
After
two
years
of
letting
a
vertebrae
mend,
I’m
excited
to
be
back
in
the
saddle,
and
will
be
accompanying
Dave
on
the
upcoming
Color
Tour,
which
will
be
on
Saturday,
October
14th
and
Sunday,
October
15th.
Everyone
is
welcome!
Our
destination
will
be
The
Leelanau
Sands
Resort
and
Casino,
20
miles
north
of
Traverse
City.
Saturday
morning
we
will
meet
at
the
Big
Boy
Restaurant
at
the
Wayland
Exit
64
at
9:00
a.m.
We
will
be
returning
to
the
Kalamazoo
area
late
Sunday
afternoon.
To
reserve
your
room,
call
1-800-930-3008
and
mention
Life
Cycle
,
or
the
name
Reynolds,
to
receive
our
group
rate
of
only
$50.00
per
room.
Double/Doubles
and
King
rooms
are
available
in
limited
numbers.
Rooms
have
a
24
hour
cancellation
policy.
If
you
need
any
additional
information,
please
call
Dave
Reynolds
at
Life
Cycle:
1-269-388-5590
Or
toll
free:
1-866-744-3773
We
hope
to
see
many
of
you
on
this
ride!
Mid
October,
the
trees
should
be
in
full
brilliance
up
north.
So
far,
the
long
range
forecast
looks
promising.
The
ride
will
only
be
cancelled
due
to
extremely
poor
riding
conditions.

Ducati
Dealer
Meeting
In
August,
Dave
Reynolds
and
Jim
Florshinger
flew
to
Salt
Lake
City
to
attend
the
annual
Ducati
dealer
meeting
.
As
some
of
you
know,
Salt
Lake
is
home
to
the
new
bazillion
dollar
Miller
Motorsports
Park,
which
features
a
GP
style
track
that
can
be
cut
into
smaller
courses
for
simultaneous
racing.
After
two
days
of
meetings,
the
third
day
was
promised
to
the
dealers
as
time
to
ride
new
models
on
the
track.
Unable
to
stay
all
three
days,
Dave
took
in
the
two
business
days,
and
left
Jim
to
do
the
test
riding
.
At
the
conclusion
of
the
second
day,
Ducati
put
on
a
classy
dinner
at
the
top
of
the
tallest
building
in
town
,
with
a
stupendous
view
of
the
Salt
Lake
Valley
and
surrounding
mountains
at
sunset.
The
party
wound
into
high
gear
when
Neil
Hodgson
started
tending
bar,
and
I
guess
he
knew
how
to
pour
a
drink.
Dave
heard
him
say
that
if
Ducati
doesn’t
renew
his
contract,
he
might
as
well
be
practicing
his
bartending
career.
Ben
Bostrom
had
no
problem
keeping
up
this
bar
race
with
Neil,
and
Dave
and
Jim,
along
with
other
Ducati
personnel
,
were
happy
to
join
in
on
the
drinking
competition.
I’m
not
supposed
to
mention
anything
else
that
they
kind
of
remember
doing,
except
that
they
had
fun.
(And
exactly
what
is
a
body
shot,
anyway?
)
After
Dave
barely
caught
his
plane
home
early
the
next
morning,
Jim
thoroughly
enjoyed
his
day
at
the
track,
which
he
rated
as
an
EXCELLENT
riding
course.
Everything
was
available
to
ride,
including
a
Paul
Smart
and
a
999R
Xerox.
And
if
that
wasn’t
enough,
he
got
to
chase
some
famous
guys
around
the
course
(on
a
749
Dark),
including
Doug
Polen.
All
‘07
Ducatis
will
be
released
to
the
public
during
the
Milan
show
in
mid
November.
Some
new
models
have
already
been
released,
including
the
all
new
Hypermotard,
the
revised
Multistrada
1100,
and
the
S4R,
which
is
an
economical
version
of
the
S4RS
that
debuted
last
year.
(The
Ohlin
suspension
has
been
replaced,
subtracting
$2000.00
off
the
price.)
After
seeing
all
the
“candy”
at
the
show,
Life
Cycle
will
be
expanding
its
Ducati
inventory
of
motorcycle
accessories
and
rider
apparel.

Triumph
Dealer
Meeting
In
September,
Dave
flew
to
Miami,
FL
to
attend
the
annual
Triumph
dealer
meeting
for
yet
another
sweltering
trip,
with
temperatures
hitting
100
degrees.
At
least
this
time,
he
had
time
to
cool
off
with
friends
(and
family
down
there)
in
the
luxurious
Doral
Resort
and
Spa.
(Although
it
involved
breaking
a
few
pool
rules).
The
hit
of
the
show
was
the
all
new
1050
Tiger,
available
in
spring
of
‘07.
When
sitting
on
it,
Dave
was
impressed
with
how
it
felt;
the
lighter
weight,
the
lower
seat
height,
the
lower
center
of
gravity.
And
he
was
very
fond
of
the
Tiger
before
these
changes.
The
first
of
these
bikes
shipped
will
be
sold
units,
on
deposit
.
See
the
first
ride
report
in
the
current
issue
of
Cycle
World.
(The
Tiger
is
on
the
cover.)
Almost
every
other
Triumph
model
has
been
upgraded
or
restyled
for
’07.
For
more
info,
check
them
out
on
our
website
at:
www.lifecyclemotorcycles.com.
Also,
Life
Cycle
will
now
be
stocking
even
more
Triumph
accessories.
The
show
also
enticed
Dave
to
order
over
$20,000
worth
of
men’s
and
women’s
clothing
for
the
upcoming
holiday
season.

Fall
Riding
Tips
Fall
is
not
only
a
glorious
time
to
ride,
it
seems
to
be
extending
its
seasonal
length,
due
to
general
warming
trends.
Here
are
a
few
reminders
to
help
you
make
the
most
of
this
bonus
road
time.
Since
the
temperature
will
constantly
fluctuate,
always
bring
layers
of
clothing
to
add
or
remove
as
needed,
and
make
sure
to
have
some
kind
of
luggage
storage
space,
be
it
saddle
bags,
tail
pack,
tank
bag,
or
back
pack.
Remember,
whatever
temperature
it
is,
take
into
account
it
will
be
20
degrees
colder
on
the
bike
due
to
wind
chill.
Animals,
especially
deer,
are
on
the
move
in
the
early
morning
and
late
evening.
Be
careful
of
wet
leaves
and
dark
spots
ahead
on
the
pavement,
which
may
indicate
walnuts,
both
especially
treacherous
in
corners.
Cooler
temperatures
reduce
tire
pressure,
so
check
them,
and
make
sure
they
are
at
the
recommended
settings.
We
recommend
quality
gear
from
top
to
bottom.
This
should
not
be
an
area
to
skimp
on.
How
much
are
your
body
parts
worth?
Any
experienced
rider
knows
that
quality
gear
does
its
job
from
minor
to
major
altercations.
Also,
electric
grips
and
electric
vests
can
add
miles
of
safety
and
comfort
to
a
chilly
ride.

For
those
of
you

haven’t

they
tend
to
rock
on
into
the
wee

of
the

There
will
be
a
delicious
,
complimentary
buffet,
beverages,
and
we

The
Cycle
World
International
Motorcycle
Show
will
be
at
the
Rock
Financial
Center
in
Novi,
Michigan,
(a
western
suburb
of
Detroit).
This
is
a
great
new
venue,
much
improved
over
various
locations
of
the
past.
This
is
an
opportunity
to
see
almost
every
motorcycle
available
in
the
U.S.,
including
a
chance
to
see
many
of
the
new
2007
Ducati
models.
Jim
and
Dave
will
be
working
the
Ducati
booth,
so
come
and
say
hi,
maybe
bring
them
a
beer.
The
show
will
be
January
5th,
6th,
and
7th.
Phone:
1-800-331-5706.
We
encourage
our
customers
to
support
the
Michigan
IMS
Show
over
the
Chicago
show
for
these
reasons:
For
most,
it
is
less
driving
time
to
Novi,
with
less
traffic
congestion
and
construction
involved;
parking
is
easier;
good
attendance
guarantees
even
greater
shows
in
Michigan,
and
supports
the
economy
of
our
state.
In
addition,
it’s
over
a
month
sooner
than
the
Chicago
show.
|
| |
|
|
|
|
Once
again,
due
to
popular
demand,
Life
Cycle
will
participate
in
the
West
Michigan
Motorcycle
Show
at
the
Grand
Rapids
DeVos
Hall
-
another
impressive
venue
–
on
the
24th
and
25th
of
February.
We
will
have
a
booth
displaying
bikes
and
clothing.
Last
year,
the
professional
fashion
show
captured
so
much
attention,
they’re
kicking
it
up
another
notch
with
the
Perfect
Angels,
supposedly
an
even
more
scenic
modeling
agency,
if
that’s
possible!
Perhaps
that
is
partially
due
to
the
superb
Triumph
and
Ducati
attire
Life
Cycle
loaned
out
to
the
models
last
year,
which
definitely
highlighted
the
show.
We
can’t
wait
to
see
who
will
be
modeling
our
clothes
this
year.
(I’m
hoping
for
more
men).

in
