"Toys for Tots" Celebration
It just goes to show...bikers' hearts are as big as all outdoors, and just because the Albuquerque Toy Run imploded, it didn't stop you from showing everyone what generosity looks like!

Our "Toys for Tots" toy drop party managed to collect over 1600 toys (and more continue arriving every day!), $600 cash and over 800 pounds of food...in just one day!

Here's a huge note of thanks to the U.S. Marine Corp. Reserve and the Black Beret Motorcycle Club for helping us make our toy drop celebration a tremendous success! We'd also like to thank Garcia's for donating all that wonderful food and the H.O.G. members and other volunteers who helped ensure the day's festivities went off without a hitch!

Mileage Contest Results
The "Iron Butt" winner for most mileage accumulated between January 21, 2006 and December 16, 2006 is... **Norman Doty, who logged a whopping 20,414 miles! Thanks to his dedication for mileage accumulation, Norman and his bike are the recipients of two new tires!

Our "Butter Butt" prize is reserved for those who didn't get to feel the thrill of the ride as often as they wanted. Honestly, I was expecting someone with only couple of hundred miles added, but when our lowest mileage cleared 1,000 miles, I was impressed! **Mr. Frank Lujan put a healthy 1,375 miles on his Harley, and will take home a new Rand McNally Biker Atlas that is chock full of interesting "bike friendly" routes that could give Frank the incentive to snag that "Iron Butt" crown next year!

This contest was close, I'm not going to lie! The mileage that separated the winner from #2...4 miles! That's it! Four itty-bitty miles, that's how competative this contest can get! That being said, I'd like to list those people who surpassed 15,000 miles this year!

**Jamie Gustafson-20,410 miles

**Renee and Ray Romero-17,714 miles

**Bill Rager-16,801 miles

If you didn't win this time, or were unable to participate, 2007 may be your year! Saturday January 13, 2007 is the registration/start date for the new year's mileage contest! Bring your bike and get signed up...you never know, you might be a winner!

Now through Christmas Eve, anytime you shop with us, take advantage of free gift wrapping between 11and closing time, courtesy of H.O.G. volunteers.

Any donations you'd like to give the dedicated wrappers will be used to send some wonderful kids to the MDA Summer Camp next year.

You might also notice a donation container at the hotdog station this weekend...if Frog and his dogs treat ya right, toss some change in there for the kids (all that money is going to the same cause).

Because of our donations last year, we were able to send four kids to the experience of a lifetime. This year, we're shooting for more (we're hoping for 10, a very reachable goal!)
