Extended Warranty Special Still In Effect!
For a limited time, an extended manufacturer’s warranty on new, previously untitled 2006 Model Year and 2007 Model Year Harley-Davidson and Buell motorcycles purchased and delivered December 1, 2006 through March 15, 2007 at no additional cost. Hello and welcome to the first Bryan Harley-Davidson news letter. As I write this we are off to Orlando, Florida for the 2007 Harley Davidson winter dealer convention. The winter show is always exciting as we (the HD dealers) get to preview and order the available general merchandise from the motor company and all of its licensed vendors. Most of these offerings do not arrive at the dealership for several months, some not until the following Christmas. So, it is no easy task and the amount of items available borders on overwhelming.

Harley Davidson does an amazing job of securing a convention center and packing its giant facility full of products. There are literally hundreds of thousands of square feet of showroom space. The challenge becomes what do I order and how much? If you have a large facility you have more opportunity to order more cool “stuff” but you suffer the challenge of getting the right amount so you do not carry inventory to the next season or model year. The motor clothes manager in the small facility has the frustrating job of picking only what they have room for and what they think will be the hottest items. Both size stores have equal challenges. The good news is the merchandise is always very cool and there are always new products that are great looking, functional, and well made.

As well as motor clothes and general merchandise, there are new parts and accessories that HD will unveil at this meeting. There is quite a buzz flowing through this event and all managers and owners that attend have their plate full trying to absorb all of the information.

Another part of this show is the HDU (Harley Davidson University) portion. There are several classes available to the dealers and their managers to help us learn how to further enhance the Harley Davidson experience for the customer. All good stuff!

As the ice melts off in Moore, Oklahoma we look forward to a favorable selling season and another great year representing the greatest motor cycle brand on the planet, Harley Davidson. See you on the road.

I was originally hired by Sharla Bryan to work in the office. I started out as a Title Clerk and Sharla's Assistant. After Robert & Stacie Dodson, along with APS, purchased the dealership, we had some personnel changes and I became the Parts & Accessories Manager. I really went out of my comfort box and learned an extreme amount of information to take on that task. I feel that I did a good job given what I started with.

After a year helping grow the Parts & Accessories department, I decided that in the best interest of the Dealership that it would be best if I found a replacement that would able to take the Dealership to the next level. I talked to Robert & Norman and saw that there was an opportunity to go back into the Accounting Office.

I have been working with Norman since January of 2006. I like what I do because every day is different. Although I am no longer working with customers directly, I am still helping them obtain their dream of being a Harley-Davidson motorcycle owner! I am the one that files your lien and gets your documents ready for funding. I type all the paperwork necessary for you to tag your bike. I file the warranty registration, order your plaque, and help correct any problems that may arise.

I help the Service, Parts & Accessories, MotorClothes, and Finance Managers from time to time to resolve any issues that they may have. I also serve as the Human Resources person and do the new hire orientations, as well as keep the employees up to date and current on any benefits offered.

On a personal note, I am married with two great kids! My husband and I have a daughter (11) and a son (7) that keeps us very busy. Both of our children are involved in competitive sports. Our daughter plays fastpitch softball and pretty much plays year round. Our son plays baseball in the spring and football in the fall. My husband coaches our son's teams, so during the playing season, we hardly see each other. I haven't decided yet if that is good or bad. LOL Our kids keep us so busy, but if they didn¡¦t like playing so much, we wouldn¡¦t do it. After all, isn't that what life's about, enjoying what you do?

I enjoy working with everyone at Bryan Harley-Davidson and enjoy all of you as "family" members too".
