It's
that

again...Kutter
Harley-Davidson
presents
Road
Hog

From
the

made
the

to
the
anxious
news
reporters
fighting
for
coverage,
to
the
doors
of
Kutter
Harley-Davidson.
We
bring
to
you
Rodney
the

Kutter
Harley-Davidson’s
“Rodney”
to
Challenge
the
Groundhog
At
His
Own
Game
For
Second
Year
Janesville,
Wis.
–
With
the
lack
of
a
real
winter
season
confounding
the
natural
weather
prognosticators
in
Southern
Wisconsin,
Groundhog
Day
will
present
a
real
challenge
to
the
native
species.
Therefore,
for
the
second
year,
Kutter
Harley-Davidson
of
Janesville
will
step
in
to
assist
and
turn
to
one
of
its
champion
family
of
predictors
of
all
things
leading
to
spring,
Rodney
the
Harley
Hog.
Rodney
is
an
800-pound
Harley
Davidson
Road
Glide
motorcycle
that
has
been
in
a
self-imposed
but
reluctant
dormancy
since
his
natural
habitat
was
temporarily
covered
by
snow
in
early
December.
He
is
one
of
more
than
300
motorcycles
that
have
been
heard
stirring
in
recent
days
deep
in
the
winter
habitat
at
Janesville’s
Kutter
Harley-Davidson
dealership
on
Pontiac
Drive.
Last
year,
his
sister
Rhoda
was
the
first
to
start
stirring,
and
interpreters
of
the
mystical
motorcycle
language
predicted
that
Rhoda
would
emerge
to
daylight
on
the
morning
of
Feb
2
with
a
definitive
forecast.
A
large
audience,
many
of
them
anxious
masters
of
the
hibernating
vehicles,
gathered
before
dawn
to
be
the
first
to
witness
the
unique
21st
Century
approach
to
the
traditional
day
of
hope
for
spring
supplicants.
They
joined
with
reporters
and
television
trucks
as
the
furry
headed
Rhoda
emerged,
observed
the
scene
and
saw
no
shadow.
She
was
checked
over
for
chrome
clarity
and
then
returned
to
her
den
excitedly
anticipating
an
early
spring.
She
was
right.
This
year,
Rodney
the
Harley
Hog
will
emerge
at
exactly
7:30
a.m.
on
Groundhog
Day
when
the
large
front
doors
of
the
Kutter
dealership
are
thrown
open.
“We
have
ways
to
coax
Rodney
out
of
his
den
and
I
assure
you
it
will
be
a
noisy
and
exciting
arrival,”
says
general
manager
Gary
Sinks
who
claims
to
regularly
talk
to
the
hundreds
of
bikes
in
storage
at
the
dealership,
consistently
honored
as
one
of
the
leading
Harley
dealerships
in
the
United
States.
“There
is
nobody
who
is
looking
forward
to
this
announcement
from
Rodney
more
than
I
am,”
says
Sinks.
“I
am
tired
of
listening
to
the
unpredictable
fickle
findings
of
rodents
who
know
nothing
about
the
Stateline
area,”
he
adds.
Once
Rodney
has
spoken,
he
will
return
through
the
smoke
and
thunder
back
into
the
security
of
the
dealership
where
participants
will
be
invited
to
join
in
a
breakfast
and
a
toast
to
good
road
conditions.
They
will
also
have
a
chance
to
meet
Rodney
before
he
returns
to
his
den
to
get
cleaned
and
polished
in
preparation
for
his
permanent
life
on
the
road.
