All
batteries
can
lose
3%
to
10%
of
their
charge
each
month
while
sitting
idle. 2.
Short
rides
may
not
allow
the
charging
system
to
fully
charge
your
battery
but
may
actually
wear
the
battery
down.
Some
charging
systems
can
take
up
to
20
minutes
of
steady
highway
riding
to
fully
charge
a
battery. So
I
recommend
the
use
of
a
battery
tender
when
the
bike
will
sit
for
more
than
a
few
days.
