WEDNESDAY
IMPROMPTU
RIDE
PUT
ON
BY
JOHN
C. |
|
Wednesday,
February
14,
2007.
Impromptu
Ride
to
Phil’s
Filling
Station
Restaurant
in
Fountain
Hills
led
by
John
Cat
and
Larry
Everson
,who
today
is
qualifying
for
a
Road
Captain.
After
the
pre
ride
briefing,
given
by
Larry
the
group
of
8
riders
headed
to
University
Rd.
Right
on
to
Ellsworth
Rd
to
the
Bush
Hwy,
crossing
RT87
south
to
Shea
Blvd
and
into
Fountain
Hills
to
Phil’s.
|
| |
|
|
A
great
breakfast
was
served
as
the
group
relaxed
and
talked
about
where
to
ride
to
next.
After
breakfast
it
was
decided
to
ride
to
Cave
Creek
and
the
Hideaway
Grill.
It
was
turning
out
to
be
a
good
day
for
riding.
Riding
to
Cave
Creek
one
must
be
careful
when
passing
thru
Carefree.
Carefree
has
a
noise
ordinance
and
is
known
for
pulling
over
motorcycles
for
loud
pipes.
A
ticket
and
fine
is
the
outcome
for
a
lot
of
bikers.
So
be
safe,
obey
the
speed
limit
and
no
revving
engines.
The
noise
police
are
everywhere.

OOPS!!!!!!!!! |
During
the
Lost
Dutchman
Parade,
Mike
lost
control
of
his
bike
and
hit
his
head
on
the
pavement.
He
sent
a
big
scare
thru
the
Chapter
as
well
as
spectators
at
the
parade.
He
was
air
transported
to
Scottsdale
Osborn
Hospital.
Updated
news
was
being
sent
to
all
Chapter
members
throughout
the
day
to
keep
him
in
our
prayers. Thanks
so
much
to
all
of
you
it
worked. |
| |
|
|
|
.
Yes,
one
of
our
own
went
down,
but
never
fear,
he
is
alright.
A
bit
of
the
ego
hurt
more
than
anything,
but
it
goes
to
show
you
that
trying
to
get
a
bike
to
act
like
a
bucking
horse,
isnt
quite
the
same
as
being
on
a
horse...ouch....sorry
Mike...we
are
just
glad
you
are
alright.
Besides,
if
you
can't
laugh
at
yourself
no
one
else
will.
We
love
you
Mike
and
so
glad
you
are
good
to
go. What
a
close
call,
a
few
stitches,
lost
hair,
bruises
and
feeling
a
little
foolish.
And
this
too
shall
pass. |

|
|
|
|
THE
DAY
AFTER |
Sunday,
February
25,
2007
on
our
way
to
the
Corral
Buffet,
we,
the
chapter
riders,
stopped
at
Mike’s
house
to
see
how
he
was
doing.
We
couldnt
pass
up
an
opportunity
to
let
him
know
how
much
we
cared.
Oh
yes,
and
to
let
him
know
that
he
has
been
demoted
from
Road
Captain
to
Road
Private....LOL....joking
Mike.
